Bose Einstein condensate and quantum physics in the living systems

.
This is a short memo triggered by this paper to alert us to some new ideas emerging in the boundary zone between biology and quantum physics. It could be the next big breakthrough in biology or it it could be off the mark! We shall see.

From Wiki

See my write-up here:
"Bose Einstein condensate - cold fusion, cellular membranes and neurons."

I have to stress that the above text is a compilation of some speculative ideas and references, not a proof of anything!

For people with a sufficient scientific background, I strongly recommend to read the following references:

Schmidt, “A quantum theory for the irreplaceable role of docosahexaenoic acid in neural cell signalling throughout evolution”; Prostaglandins, Leukotrienes and Essential Fatty Acids 88 (2013) 5–13.

I wrote you once about the alternate "Reciprocal System" of physics. The work was a little disjointed. There's a guy named Dr. Ronald W. Satz who has been working with it. He seems to have put some of it in a little more order in terms of calculating results. The only reason this fascinates me so much is you really can't do anything with quantum physics. All the calculations seem to get so weighty so quick you can't get answers. Here's a quote from Satz,"...

Policy Statement: You could read 100 books on Quantum Mechanics and still not be able to calculate the interatomic distance, specific heat, enthalpy, entropy, thermal expansion, compressibility, and numerous other properties of elements, compounds, and mixtures. But you could with the Reciprocal System of physical theory created by scientist-engineer Dewey B. Larson..."

Anyways here's a link to the quoted page, then another page Satz has and finally a very quick overview. I can't remember who said it but they said that the true theory of everything is likely to be weirder than we can imagine and Larson's theory is very weird but it seems to work.

Oops. My apologies. Found this so it seems it's been tested and come up wanting badly.

The so-called "rationalwiki" isn't very rational. There is far more real science at Dr. Satz's Web site, then at "rationalwiki." You should ignore there uninformed comments.
