Thanks this is super interesting. We're really beginning to get some concrete results from all these millions of dollars that is spent on aging research. It's great that this doesn't cost a fortune like a lot of these treatments.

I started taking a NAD+ percurser.

I started on one then went to two. Had headaches so I stopped for two days now back on one. Maybe it's placebo effect but I got results. Much more active feeling and better vision. When I stopped it continued for a day.

It could very well be the headaches are from some sort of Herxheimer reaction the same as if you fast and are not used to it??? I really need to try this yogurt. Maybe wait and see the effects of the one I'm taking now first and add the other.

The supplement I'm taking is no longer available. They upped the dose to 250mg and raised the price.

Hi Sam,

The youghurt research is interesting, since there are some old studies, I vaguely remember from Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia and other regional countries, correlating its consumption with either exceptional health or longevity. It is not a hard science, just association reports, also the type of lacto-fermentating bacteria they get around the Black Sea is very different than anywhere elsewhere.

Herxheimer effect is intriguing. Dr. Kwasniewski of "Optimal Diet" mentions similar effect (without naming it such). He describes frequent adverse reaction during the healing process, as if it were an animal fighting back a hunter for its own survival. I experience such very short setbacks years ago just after I adopted the high animal fat low carb. Typically lasting 1 day, without any apparent cause, suddenly feeling very sick as if getting really ill, then it would just go away, as rapidly as it came. First time after about 2 weeks. Then next one after a couple of months, then after half a year, then after 2 years, then never more!

These could be available quite quickly as they natural. I could see these sold as a shake where they had several varieties mixed together with nutrients to help them flourish mixed in.
